Unrivaled - By: Siri Mitchell

I recently received a complimentary copy of Unrivaled by Siri Mitchell from Bethany House Publishers. Here's my review!

Unrivaled is a book about Charlie, a boy struggling to find a way to reconnect with his father, and about Lucy, a girl trying to figure out a way to save her father's candy business. The two strike up an interest in each other, until Lucy finds out that Charlie is on the opposing team. They go head-to-head competing for the public's attention in the candy market. When Lucy's father's business seems to hit a stand still, she is desperate to find way to save her family, even if it means marrying a man she doesn't love.

Unrivaled is a good book with an interesting story line, however, I'm not a big fan of the way the author wrote the book. I found myself confused sometimes in the dialogue. The characters would go from talking out loud to someone, then the author would put what the characters were thinking right after they spoke. The book was clearly notated where the conversationg actually ended, but several times I had to go back and re-read a section to fully understand what the author was saying. All in all, it was a good book I would recommend, but it will never be a favorite.
